This is weird....

It's my second day wearing full makeup (listing: liquid stuff, compact stuff, blush, eyeshadow, and lipstick!) and it... is... weird. And eyeshadow is not easy to put on!!!

But anyhow. I got a call from "my" admissions counselor at one of the colleges I applied to - in fact, the college with the huge dorm rooms (for double occupancy!) and open-all-day dining hall - and she told me that I'm going to receive a full-tuition scholarship as soon as Mom fills out the FAFSA. Ain't it niiice? :-) So all I've got to cover is about $6,000 worth of room and board, plus books/stuff/laptop. I'll most likely move in there come August (unless, of course, some other college likewise offers me such scholarship plus something better).

And our computer mouse isn't working right. Irritation (as my brother has been saying). It seems to get stuck sometimes, and cleaning the gunk out of the inside isn't helping. Oh well.

yeah, having make-up on is pretty annoying. i, uh...well, would know, you know, from my..uh. wait a minute...

and wait a minute, your mouse is still a roller-ball mouse?

*laughs* unless you were in a college theatre production, I doubt you have the experience. :-P

yeah, 'tis a roller-ball. I suppose it's served us well, but now it's simply irritating. Why, have they invented mice without roller-balls? *wide-eyed naive look*

um, yes they have. they are called optic mouses. they are laser, so you don't have to deal with gunk, and such...

they cost about $20 or so for a good one.

Makeup is overrated. Totally. It's one thing I hate to love, and love to hate, and been wearing for the past 5 years. Bah. Have fun.

mj: yeah, I know... I was being funny... :-P I wish we could just get a new mouse; and who knows? I think one store gives them out with a purchase of tax software!

essy: yah, I'm having fun... my sister still isn't satisfied as to *why* I started though. :-D

heh. probably the dinkiest kind. i'd rather pay 30 dollars for one and have it last for years than a bad one that runs for just a few years and cuts out...

and yes i do use a rollerball myself :)
RS said…
Yeah, but if you get the dinky mouse free, you're not out any amount of money and you can put off purchasing a good one till the technology's even better. :-P

Oh really? You haven't upgraded yet?

actually, i had an optic mouse. but then the right click went bad. which is annoying for my Age of Empires addiction because troops wouldn't go where i wanted them to...

so i got a free rollerball from a friend that my work was getting rid of.
