Also, nearing 1000...

This blog is very, very few comments away from number 1,000. I can hardly believe it, but you all must be a loquacious (not to say eloquent) bunch of readers and friends!

And I'm not going to say how few. That way you can't just count the comments and quick post one just to be the 1,000th. Not that I think any of you would do that. ;)

Well, that's about 24 comments a year per reader, so assuming you do 2 posts every month, we'd only have had to comment once per post...what is normal?

Abby--well, when you put it that way, it doesn't sound like much. But remember, the majority of posts don't get any comments at all, and then sometimes others comment in person or by e-mail rather than in the comments.
